About Dr. Hagen
Dr. Hagen, his wife Connie, Christopher, Victoria, and Madison

A native Texan, Dr. Hagen graduated from the University of Texas, received
his medical degrees from U. T. Southwestern and completed his residency
in OB/GYN at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
He has been practicing since 1986 and since that time has delivered
over 3000 babies in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
Dr. Hagen moved to Austin with his family in the summer of 2003 and began
seeing patients here in Austin beginning December, 2003. At his Austin
location Dr. Hagen is currently sharing office space with Dr. Brian Monks,
another OB/GYN who has been practicing in Austin since 1987.
Recently,
Dr. Hagen has taken over the practice of Dr. Leslie Lisdell in Bastrop, Tx
after her and her husband decided to set up practice in another state.
Dr. Hagen is Board Certified in OB/GYN since 1989 and is a Fellow
of the American College of OB/GYN. He has been involved with all
aspects of high-risk pregnancies both in his training and while in
private practice.
One of Dr. Hagen's special interest in Gynecology is in performing intra-uterine surgery. This type of surgery is used in the diagnosis and treatment of
abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, recurrent miscarriages, and problems
with fibroid tumors.
Recently, Dr. Hagen was featured in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram as the
first physician in his area to perform the new Essure method of sterilization.
This type of sterilization does not involve any abdominal incisions, and has
significantly reduced recovery time compared to other sterilization procedures.
Dr. Hagen is married, and he and his wife Connie have three children,
Christopher, age 14, and Victoria, age 11, and Madison, age 7. He
enjoys swimming, cycling, photography and spending time with his family. For the last several years, Dr. Hagen has also been teaching math and science at the Bastrop Christian Co-Op School.
